Legal Expenses cover means that we will look after all your legal needs, in exchange for a small monthly premium. This includes legal advice, which can be provided with a simple phone call, further legal services like the drafting or checking of a contract, and should you ever be in a situation where you have to go to court, we will appoint a Lawyer to assist you at no additional cost to you. For a full list of benefits, please read your policy wording.

What if I have a Lawyer I want to use, but he/she is not on the Panel?
You may request the use of a specific Attorney not on our Panel, but the Attorney will have to work on our standard tariffs. If the Attorney refuses to work on our tariff, the Attorney may still be appointed, but you will be liable for any fees over and above our standard tariff.
Yes, there is a waiting period of 60 days before you qualify for the legal representation benefit, and 6 months before you qualify for the Divorce benefit. There is no waiting period for legal advice services. Legal advice services can be accessed as soon as your first premium has been paid.
